The Hobbit Tree
Media: Watercolor, India Ink
Size: 20 x 26"
Original: $600
A portrait of my younger sister, Carleen, who we affectionately refer to as a "hobbit" because of her curly hair and her tendancy to run around in
bare feet. (Of course, she's also rather more comfortable in trees than true hobbits.) This was by far the largest painting I've done yet in
watercolor, and while it was an interesting challenge, I don't know that I'll be trying to repeat it anytime soon... at least not until I get a much bigger
studio space to work in.
